Is RAM speed important. You betcha. I ran a couple of dual-SuperPi tests. The first test was done at 3842MHz with 1:1 ratio. Memory running at 427MHz (3-3-3 timings). Second test was at 3564MHz with 2:3 ratio. Memory at 594MHz (4-4-3). The increased memory speed more than makes up for the lower CPU speed.
